A man in the ages of 43 to 45 years, has been murdered at Konkomba, a suburb of Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.

Akwesi Philip met his untimely death after his former wife and her girlfriend beat him to the pulp, leading to his death.

According to Thomas Tatur, a family member of the deceased, his brother had a three-year-old child with Akose, who usually brings the child home to come and stay with the former husband.

On Thursday, September 12, 2019, Akose brought the child to the ex-husband and refused to come back for the child till 7pm on the same day.

Akwesi, who became utterly shocked decided to take the child to his mother, only for him to meet another man with the ex-wife in a room he rented for her.

Akwesi then started questioning her which brought a misunderstanding between them, resulting in a fight between the three; former husband, wife and boyfriend.

Akose and her current boyfriend then overpowered the former husband by using sticks to knock the head which caused him to pulp leading to the loss of his life.

Mr Akwesi Philip died two hours later after he reported the case at the police station and was given police medical form to go for treatment at St. Mathias Hospital at Yeji.
