33-year-old man burns his 7-year-old son’s feet for eating his stew

A cruel 33-year-old man Mr. Edward Boafo has burnt the feet of his 7-year-old son, Kwame Boafo for allegedly eating the family stew.

The Assin Fosu District court presided over by his worship Samuel Djanie Kotey has remanded the suspect to police custody to reappear to the court on the 19th March 2019.

The Police prosecutor Inspector Gilbert Ayongo told the court that, on Thursday 14 February 2019, Mr. Boafo returned from work to see that the stew that was to be eaten by the family has been eaten.

He, therefore, suspected his seven-year-old son of committing the ‘crime’ but the boy denied eating the stew.

The prosecutor said, the man then placed his son’s leg on fire with the hope that the boy might speak the truth but unknowingly he was burning the boy’s feet.

The little boy is currently in the custody of the social welfare department at Assin fosu.
