2nd Lady graces Akosua Agyepong @ 25 health walk

Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur, the wife of the Vice President has advocated that women who have distinguished themselves in their fields of endeavor should be encouraged and supported
She made the statement graced the occasion during a health walk and medical screening exercise, as part of activities marking Akosua Agyepong's 25 years achievement in the music industry.

The Wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur also facilitated the health screening, as her own way of supporting the musician, and called on others to help appreciate the hard work of women.
Adding that Akosua Agyepongs marking 25 years in music with a commitment to promote high life music to international level was laudable.

The program was graced by hundreds of fans and supporters, both young and old, of musician Akosua Agyepong, thronged the La Trade Fair Centre for the health walk, which started from the centre, through la township, palm wine junction and ended back at the trade fair Centre. There was aerobics as well.
A medical team, comprising volunteers and medical experts from the Legon Hospital, carried out the health screening. People's medical vital statistics were checked and those found with some complications would be referred to health facilities for attention.

A mother of six, and a wife of a pastor, Akosua Agyepong, has about nine albums circulating in the system. She said highlife music is her "thing".Akosua, said she has enjoyed every bit of her carrier has a word of advice for the young ones in the industry.
She said the health walk and the medical screening were to commemorate the month long celebration of her contribution to the Ghanaian music industry and that crown grand celebration comes of on the 30th May, with a concert at the Accra International Conference Centre.
