275 buses for NPP: Audit accounts and activities of GNPC - Minority

The Minority wants Akufo-Addo to probe GNPC The Minority wants Akufo-Addo to probe GNPC

The Minority in Parliament is charging President Akufo-Addo to with immediate effect, order a forensic audit by an independent international audit firm into the accounts and activities of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) as part of measures to investigate Board Chairman, Freddie Blay following his lavish display of wealth at the just ended Delegates Conference in Koforidua.

According to them, Ghana isn’t safe with Mr. Blay in charge of its oil and gas resources. They believe he wasted the country’s resources in a bid to achieve his selfish quest of winning the National Chairmanship position through vote buying.

“The gross misconduct of Mr. Freddie Blay fueled by his insatiable desire for political power no matter the cost renders him unsuitable as the man to remain in charge of our oil and gas resources. Ghana is not safe”, they stated.

In a press release copied to GhanaWeb, the Minority in Parliament threatened to explore other avenues if President Akufo-Addo fails to as a matter of urgency adhere to their request within a period of two weeks.

Also, they are demanding Freddie Blay to step aside as GNPC Board Chairman in the interim ahead of the forensic audit so as not to interfere with proceedings.
