208 housing unit for COCOBOD staff inaugurated

The Board Chairman of Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) Hackman Owusu-Agyemang has inaugurated a 208-housing unit for staff of the company at Community 3 in Tema.

The projects which was started in 2015 by Amardi Construction under the erstwhile Mahama administration was originally expected to provide 192 housing units to cater for the housing needs of COCOBOD staff.

According to Mr Owusu-Agyemang, under his watch as Board Chair, 16 new units were added to the project and an amount of GHS15 million saved.

On his part, Member of Parliament for Tema West, Carlos Kingsley Ahinkorah, appealed to the Israeli contractors to go into public private partnership with the various assemblies in Tema to put up more of such projects to help reduce the housing deficit.
