Former Minister of Energy and running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has expressed strong optimism about the year 2026, stressing that its success will depend on collective commitment, discipline, and purposeful leadership.
In a message shared on his official Facebook page, Dr Opoku Prempeh noted that while the year has officially begun, its outcome will be shaped by the resolve of leaders and citizens alike to work diligently and with a clear sense of responsibility.
According to him, leadership is not merely a position of authority but a duty that demands higher standards, renewed urgency, and sincere service to the Ghanaian people.
He called on those entrusted with leadership roles to rise to the occasion by working with greater purpose and integrity.
Touching on internal party matters, NAPO extended goodwill to the New Patriotic Party as it prepares to elect a presidential flagbearer on January 31.
He described the exercise as a defining moment for the party and emphasized the need for unity and focus.
Reaffirming his long-held position, NAPO stated that he remains convinced Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is best positioned to lead the party forward at this critical juncture, citing the need for purpose-driven leadership to secure the party’s future and Ghana’s progress.
He concluded his message with a call for hope, unity, and collective effort in building a better Ghana.
