The Chief of Akropong in the Eastern Nzema traditional Council, Nana Adu Kwaw II has said that former President and now opposition leader for the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) John Dramani Mahama stands a chance of winning a onetouch victory in the 2020 presidential elections.

He noted this was possible, if the NDC eschews internal bickering and amassing of wealth that essentially sent them to opposition in the last polls.

The Chief made the revelation when speaking on behalf of the Eastern Nzema traditional Council at Atuabo when John Mahama paid a visit to the Paramount Chief for the area Awulae Amihere Kpanyili during his two day campaign tour of the Western Region.

The Chief lauded the developmental projects that were undertaken in the area under the John Mahama-led NDC administration, including the Atuabo Gas; and ENI among others saying the area will forever be indebted to the NDC.

Nana Adu Kwaw II who preached against partisan politics in the same breath said his stance is only a form of appreciation for all the developmental projects his enclave benefited from under the NDC government. – Ohene Gyan

“In the run up to the 2016 polls, you walked a certain path that resulted in your defeat. Don’t walk where you walked that made you lose the elections and I can assure you that there is a one touch victory for you”. He declared.

“But for you and your party the NDC we will not have had Ghana Gas on our land”. He cited as an example adding that the NDC under John Mahama did so much for Ghana and deserved to have won the 2016 elections.
