Ghana Premier League Management Committee Chairman, Alhaji MND Jawula has said the 2019/20 league season must continue to avoid legal tussles.

The Ghana Football Association suspended all its football competitions since mid-March due to Coronavirus as part of measures to help curb the spread of the virus.

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended the ban on sporting activities to July 31, however, the FA has set June 30 as the date they will decide the future of the league.

"We want to continue the league to avoid legal tussles but that will be contingent on what comes out from our engagement with government and CAF for financial assistance," he told Kumasi based Opemsuo FM.

The Premier League was at its match week 15 stage when it was halted with Aduana Stars leading the table with 28 points.
