Businessman at the centre of $200,000 land saga, Mr Anane Boateng is alleging that operatives of the Bureau of National Investigations are leaking classified documents to New Patriotic Party (NPP) Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser, Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC.
“I heard all the things Abronye DC said on Oman Fm that day and I can tell you that whatever he said was leaked to him by officials of the BNI at Kawukudi junction”, he revealed on Montie Fm last Friday.
He disclosed that he was once invited by BNI operatives over an amount of $200,000 he gave to former Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations under the John Mahama administration, Baba Jamal and two Directors in his bid secure a state land.
According to him, he was asked to write an official statement which he believes was leaked to the NPP stalwart which he relied on to make the numerous allegations on Oman Fm’s Boiling Point.
Mr Anane Boateng, however, stated that those who took monies from him but were not able to fulfill their part of the bargain, have started repaying the amount but failed to mention if Baba Jamal is part or not.
He, however, insisted that he paid $100,000 to Baba Jamal saying: “I did not give any money to Hon. Ahi; I only met with him after Baba Jamal told me that he had given him some money… I later found out to be false”.
“I promised to give Baba Jamal an equal amount of the initial payment of $100,000 which was meant for Samson Ahi after the land was secured but it turned out that Baba did not fulfil his part of the deal,” he said.
