2 arrested while selling 5-year-old’s head for GHS2,500

The suspects lured the victim with Yoghurt, took him to an uncompleted building where he was killed

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects for decapitating a 5-year-old boy in the regional capital Kumasi.

The two, Vikuriba Joe Zoot, 21; and Kozel Borama, 25; were arrested at Ampabame near Sokoban in Kumasi on 7 March.

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Ken Yeboah explained to journalists on Friday March 9 that a spiritualist, Sheik Alhaji Mohammed Maheey at Suame, who was approached by the suspects to buy the head for GHS2,500, blew the whistle on the suspects, leading to their arrest.

The suspects have since been charged with murder and will be arraigned soon.
