2 Prempeh College Students Killed

Disaster struck Prempeh College, a premier High School (SHS) in Kumasi, yesterday afternoon, when two students of the school were killed in a gory accident.

Enoch Adumata and Nathaniel Appiah, both form three General Arts students, were killed when the Toyota Corolla vehicle they were travelling in was crushed at Techiman Denkyembuoso, near Kumasi at about 3:00pm. One Daniel, who was driving the said vehicle from Atwima Boko in the Atwima Kwanwoman district of the Ashanti Region, also died instantly in the accident. Information gathered by Daily Guide indicated that Adumata, who was sick, was accompanied to the House at Atwima Boko for medical attention by his bosom friend and classmate.

After receiving medical attention, the parents of Adumata were said to have asked their driver to transport him and Appiah back to school. Upon reaching the Techiman Denkyembuoso portion of the road, the driver, according to reports, made a move to join the main road without giving any consideration to the oncoming vehicle.

Immediately he moved to join the main road, the vehicle they were travelling in collided head-on with a Metro Mass Transit (MMT) bus which was approaching at top speed. The MMT bus was said to have rammed into the vehicle the deceased persons were travelling in, thereby killing them on the spot. Good Samaritans who came to scene had a hectic time as they were compelled to cut portions of the vehicle before the dead bodies could be retrieved
