In a video shared by JoyNews on March 4, 2026, EPA officials, including CEO Prof Nana Ama Browne Klutse, are seen questioning the importer of the containers.

The importer claimed he was informed that he could bring in the machines once he had secured a warehousing permit.

“I went to the Accra branch to inquire about the necessary steps to take, but I was told that once I have the warehousing permit, it suffices,” the man said in the video.

However, EPA officials clarified that permits are also required for both the importation and operation of the machines.
