The founder and leader of the Prophetic Hill Church, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has prophesied that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, would be the next National Chairman of the party.
Nigel made this disclosure while claiming that God has revealed the next president of Ghana after John Dramani Mahama to him.
He said that because of the “sensitivity” of the revelation, he is not going to speak about it now.
“So far, I know who, by the mercies of God, will be the president of the republic, but time is a factor. He (God) has already shown me who the next president is. When the time is due, I will announce it to the nation,” he said.
The prophet went on to give the prophecy on Wontumi’s victory as follows.
“What I have seen as of yesterday is that Chairman Wontumi would be their (the NPP's) next National Chairman,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman Wontumi has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, positioning himself as a leader ready to make the ultimate sacrifices to unify the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, the Ashanti Regional Chairman noted that his bid follows extensive consultations with party elders and his “Maker,” and is driven not by personal ambition, but by a need to steer the party through a critical juncture.
“The road ahead will demand vision, courage, and unwavering determination.
“Leadership at this moment requires bravery, the courage to stand firm, make difficult decisions, and be willing to lose everything if necessary for the NPP,” he said.
