A series of videos has surfaced online following a deadly missile attack that struck a Ghanaian peacekeeping camp in southern Lebanon.

In one of the videos sighted by GhanaWeb on Friday, 6 March 2026, a Ghanaian military officer was seen praying for God’s intervention.

“Oh my God, oh Jesus, please help us,” he said.

In other footage circulating online, the military base could be seen in flames, while some officers were heard warning a senior officer to be cautious with his movements.

They noted that the flames were dangerous because gas cylinders were close to the fire, which could trigger another explosion.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Armed Forces, in a press release, confirmed that the missile attack occurred on 6 March 2026 at the headquarters of the Ghana Battalion serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

According to the statement, the attack left two soldiers critically injured, while another officer was left traumatised.

The statement further noted that the incident, which occurred around 1745 and 1752 hours local time, also destroyed the Officers’ Mess facility.

It added that the injured troops are currently receiving treatment at the Level One Medical Bunker and are reported to be stable, while arrangements are underway to evacuate them to the UNIFIL Headquarters Referral Hospital for further medical care.
