Three missing children found dead inside vehicle in Tamale

The lifeless bodies of three young children have been discovered by residents of Koblimahagu Zuo in the Tamale Metropolis.

The children had been reported missing for some days, only to be discovered inside a parked vehicle on Monday morning, October 5, 2026.

According to graphic.com.gh, the children, aged three, five and eight, had reportedly been missing since Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Their disappearance had prompted a search in the community, with residents also appealing for information to help locate them.

The circumstances leading to their disappearance and deaths remain unclear.

The Assembly Member for the area, Seidu Fuseini, confirmed the incident and said the owner of the vehicle had been arrested by the police to assist with investigations.

According to him, the vehicle owner told the police that he had locked all the doors before leaving the vehicle.

A relative of one of the children, Mohammed Juuna, also said in a social media post that the children were found trapped inside the stationary vehicle in the community.

The bodies have since been conveyed to the morgue at the Tamale Teaching Hospital for autopsy.

Police investigations are ongoing to establish what happened to the children and the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
