President John Dramani Mahama has gifted the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, a brand-new sport utility vehicle (SUV), a gesture that has resonated widely during the Christmas season.

The vehicle was presented on the president’s behalf by Ghana’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Said Sinare.

In a video circulating on social media on December 25, 2025, the elderly Chief Imam is seen being gently assisted to sit in the driver’s seat of the new vehicle.
