The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has released the programme and voter identification requirements for its national officers' elections scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.

In a notice dated September 30, 2026, signed by Frederick Opare-Ansah, Chairman of the National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC), the party directed all constituency, regional, and national officers, as well as delegates, to note the arrangements.

“As we prepare for the Party’s conference on 3 October 2026, all officers and delegates are requested to take note of the programme schedule and voter identification requirements below,” the statement said.

“Your punctuality and cooperation will help ensure the orderly consideration of constitutional amendments and the smooth conduct of the elections of national officers,” it added.

The programme will run in two main stages, with consideration of constitutional amendments scheduled to begin at exactly 9:00 a.m., followed by the election of national officers at 12:00 p.m.

Voting will take place across 31 polling stations for nine elected positions: National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.

The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify every voter.

“Each delegate seeking to vote must have their name on the delegates’ register and present one valid identification document: a Voter ID card, Ghana Card, or NPP party card,” the notice stated.

Delegates have been advised to bring one of the approved identification documents and allow sufficient time for verification before voting begins.

The party also directed all constituency, regional and national officers to bring the notice to the attention of delegates under their respective jurisdictions.
