The Canada Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his decisive victory in the party’s presidential candidate election.

In a statement, the branch said Dr Bawumia’s win reflects the confidence party members have in his leadership, vision, and commitment to Ghana’s development.

It noted that his message of innovation, inclusiveness, and economic transformation continues to resonate with party faithful both in Ghana and across the diaspora.

The NPP Canada Branch also commended the other contenders in the race: Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Bryan Acheampong, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, for their dedication and spirited campaigns.

"On behalf of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Canada Branch, we extend our warmest congratulations to H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on your decisive victory in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate election.

"Your achievement reflects the confidence party members have in your leadership, vision, and commitment to Ghana’s progress. Your message of innovation, inclusiveness, and economic transformation continues to inspire party faithful at home and across the diaspora," the statement said.

According to the branch, their participation strengthened internal democracy within the party and highlighted the depth of leadership available in the NPP.

Reaffirming its support for Dr Bawumia, the NPP Canada Branch called on party members to remain united as preparations begin for the next general elections.

It stressed the need for collective effort and cohesion to secure victory for the party.

The statement concluded by urging members to rally behind the flagbearer and continue advancing the ideals and vision of the New Patriotic Party.|

"As a Branch, we reaffirm our unwavering support for our flagbearer and call on all party members to unite as one family as we work toward victory in the upcoming general elections. Together, we will continue to advance the ideals and vision of the New Patriotic Party.
