NDC announces dates for National Delegates Conference to elect new leaders

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will hold its National Delegates Conference on Saturday, December 19, 2026, to elect new national executives.

The party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey made this known at a press conference on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

NDC sets February 7 for Ayawaso East primary ahead of by-election

"The main congress to elect all of the national executives for the NDC in this important year of reorganisation will happen on Saturday, December 19, 2026, that completes the very important edifice that is supposed to prepare for the next round of fighting for the power in the country and also ensuring that we continue the wonderful job we are doing in resetting the country", he noted.

He explained that the internal elections would be conducted using a bottom-up approach.

According to him, the process will begin at the branch level, progress through the constituency and regional stages, and conclude at the national level.

Fifi Kwetey aid the vetting of aspirants is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, and Friday, November 13, 2026.

He noted that, "Appeals will be done on Sunday, November 15 and November 16. 2026. Then, for the youth and women conference, we are looking at Saturday, December 12, 2026.”
