Parliament resumes sittings today, Monday, June 1, 2026, with the Sixth Sitting of the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

The House is expected to focus on key legislative business, including the consideration of pending bills, government policy proposals, and oversight activities involving various ministries, departments, and agencies.

Government business is expected to dominate proceedings as the Executive seeks parliamentary approval for a number of policy and development initiatives.

Members of Parliament are also expected to continue deliberations on measures aimed at strengthening economic governance and advancing legislative reforms to improve public sector efficiency and support national development.

The meeting forms part of Parliament’s constitutional mandate to enact laws, scrutinise government actions, and promote good governance in the country.
