The one-month test run marks a significant milestone in the platform’s expansion from a leading online news portal into a dynamic audiovisual content hub.

Seamless Access on Android
As part of the initial rollout, viewers can easily access GhanaWeb TV by downloading the dedicated app available on the Google Play Store. The Android version is fully configured for the test phase, offering smooth streaming and easy navigation.
Users on iOS devices are kindly asked to exercise a little patience, as the iOS version of the app is currently under construction and will be made available in due course.
A Vibrant Mix of Music and Movies
The open test transmission promises a rich blend of entertainment carefully curated to reflect both local pride and global appeal. Viewers should expect a steady stream of Ghanaian music videos spanning hiplife, highlife, afropop, and Afrobeat — a celebration of the rhythms that define contemporary African sound.
Beyond music, GhanaWeb TV will also screen an exciting selection of African movies, including gripping Nollywood blockbusters and beloved Kumawood productions. These films, known for their compelling storytelling and cultural authenticity, will offer viewers drama, suspense, romance, and comedy in equal measure.
For lovers of international drama, Asian telenovelas will also feature prominently in the lineup, broadening the channel’s appeal and adding a global dimension to the viewing experience.
Building a New Digital Broadcast Era
The month-long test transmission will serve as a learning and engagement period, giving audiences an opportunity to explore the platform while enabling the GhanaWeb technical and production teams to gather feedback and optimize performance.
GhanaWeb TV’s entry into the streaming space reflects a broader commitment to innovation, multimedia storytelling, and audience-centered programming. By blending music, movies, and cross-cultural content, the channel aims to create a vibrant digital space where entertainment meets accessibility.
From March 1, 2026, the screen lights up — and GhanaWeb invites viewers to be part of the journey as the future of its television broadcast begins to unfold.
