NAIMOS expands fight against galamsey to equipment supply chain
The latest interception comes two days after another truck carrying 22 Chanfang machines was intercepted at Eshiem, raising further concerns about the transportation of equipment suspected to be linked to illegal mining activities.
Chanfang machines are commonly associated with small-scale mining operations and have been linked to illegal mining activities in parts of Ghana.
The seizures form part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on illegal mining and disrupt the movement of equipment used in the activity.
