Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has strongly condemned the recent demolition exercise at the Kaajaano Fisheries enclave in the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, describing it as improper.

According to reports, several structures were demolished during an early morning operation on Saturday, April 11, 2026, leaving dozens of residents displaced and distressed.

Following the incident, the Ga Mantse visited the affected community, where he expressed frustration over the exercise and warned that those responsible would be held accountable if found to have acted unlawfully.

According to a report by Adom Online, he raised concerns about an apparent lack of due process, questioning whether affected residents were given prior notice.

“Didn’t they give them prior notice? Didn’t they inform them? You cannot just come and demolish people’s structures, including those of pregnant women, without warning. We don’t do that. I will not sleep on this. I will take action,” he was quoted as saying.
