Popular Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye, popularly known as RNAQ, has reportedly offered to raise the court-awarded GH¢300,000 settlement offered to ex-wife Joana Coffie to GH¢2 million.
He has also reportedly added several properties and luxury vehicles in an effort to bring their divorce battle to a close outside the courtroom.
This is according to a statement by RNAQ's lawyers addressed to Joana's legal team on May 7, 2026, and read on Accra-based Peace FM by Ola Michael on May 22.
"With respect to the alimony of GH¢300,000 as ordered by the High Court, our client has enhanced that amount to GH¢2 million," the statement read.

Beyond the cash, RNAQ is also offering to complete renovation works on their jointly owned home and transfer full ownership to Joana, as well as hand over a three-bedroom house in Dansoman.
He has also proposed replacing the court-assigned vehicles with brand-new alternatives, including a Mercedes-Benz E-Class and a second car of Joana's choosing.
The offer is the latest chapter in a long, drawn-out public divorce saga.
Joana, who was married to the businessman for 16 years and claims to have co-founded the company that built his fortune, demanded a GH¢50 million settlement and other benefits when the case formally began.
In 2023, she also reported RNAQ to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service, alleging he had her kicked out of their matrimonial home in Dansoman.
On January 20, 2026, Justice Kofi Dorgu of the High Court dissolved the marriage and awarded Joana GH¢300,000 as financial provision, a one-third share of the matrimonial home in Dansoman, two Jaguar vehicles, and GH¢5,000 monthly for the upkeep of their three children.
The judge rejected Joana's GH¢50 million demand, arguing the court did not want divorces pursued for financial reasons.
Joana, represented by former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame, filed an appeal, arguing the trial court misapplied Ghanaian law on marital property.

She also filed an injunction application at the Divorce and Matrimonial Division of the Accra High Court, seeking to restrict RNAQ from selling, transferring, or disposing of selected assets and shareholdings until her appeal is determined.
Meanwhile, RNAQ has said he was prepared to resolve their outstanding differences for the sake of their three children.
