The Chief of Denkyira Amoafo, Nana Gyesi Anin III, has issued a strong warning to the youth of his community to conform to local regulations or face immediate incarceration within his palace walls.

He made this remark while addressing the rising social vices and indecency among youth in the community amid social decadence in recent times.

The traditional ruler made it clear that his patience with unruly behaviour has reached its limit and that he will crack the whip on anyone caught indulging in social vices.

He did not mince words regarding the consequences for those who choose to challenge his directives.

“I have a cell in my palace. I will lock up anyone found culpable first before I invite security authorities to come for you to administer further justice,” he is heard saying in a video shared by SikaOfficial on X on March 20, 2026.

His directive targeted specific behaviours he believes are detrimental to the moral fiber of Dankyira Amoafo, such as lotto staking, dreadlocks hairstyles, drug abuse, indecent dressing, among other vices.

While the measures have been described as heavy-handed by some netizens, the chief explained that his directives are rooted in a long-term vision for the town’s survival.
