Charles Kwesi has been re-elected as the Presiding Member (PM) of the Ellembelle District Assembly in the Western Region.

He secured 41 'Yes' votes against 1 'No' vote in an election held at the Kwame Nkrumah Motel in Nkroful and supervised by the Electoral Commission.

Speaking after his victory, Charles Kwesi thanked Assembly Members for their trust and support.

"I wish to express my profound gratitude to Hon. Members of the Ellembelle District Assembly for the confidence reposed in me through my re-election as Presiding Member. I am deeply humbled by this renewed mandate and the overwhelming support shown to me. I sincerely appreciate the cooperation, unity, and commitment demonstrated by all Hon. Assembly Members throughout the electoral process," he said.

He also thanked the Member of Parliament, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah; the District Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Agyekum; the District Coordinating Director; and traditional authorities, especially Awulae Blay IX, for his counsel and guidance.

"This re-election is not only an honour to me personally but also a call to serve with greater dedication, fairness, humility, and commitment to the progress of Ellembelle District. I assure you of my readiness to work collaboratively with every member and stakeholder to promote peace, unity, development, and effective local governance," he pledged.

Some assembly members who spoke to Daniel Kaku pledged their support and urged the Presiding Member to maintain the existing peace and unity in the Assembly.
