Technical Advisor to the Minister of the Interior, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, is expected to address the United Nations Headquarters in New York during the seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), currently taking place at the UN Headquarters.

The high-level panel discussion, under the theme “From Commitment to Capability – Women Police Leaders Advancing Peace, Protection and Partnership in UN Contexts,” will highlight the leadership role of women in policing and their contributions to peacebuilding, community protection, and strengthening partnerships within UN contexts.

The event which is sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is intended to draw on the expertise of senior female police officers and other stakeholders on peacebuilding within UN contexts.

The seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70, 2026) will run from March 9 to 19, 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Participants will include representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from all regions of the world.
