A 23-year-old man identified as Anthony from Kwahu Tease has reportedly drowned in the Afram River.
According to an X post by CDR Africa on April 14, 2026, the deceased, who was experiencing mental health challenges, drowned after loitering in the area for several days.
Residents of the area are said to have attempted to reach his relatives, but their efforts were not successful.

“A 23-year-old man, Anthony from Kwahu Tease, has tragically drowned after reportedly wandering the area for days while facing mental health challenges," the post stated.
Meanwhile, authorities have since launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Despite efforts to locate his family, help did not arrive in time. Authorities have begun investigations as his family heads to the scene.
