Issa Ahmed close to Berekum Chelsea move

Footy-ghana.com investigations reveal that former Black Stars defender Issa Ahmed is close to sealing a move to CAF Champions League campaigners Berekum Chelsea.

Ahmed, who is now a free agent after being released from his contract with Danish second tier side Randers FC, was initially set to rejoin former club Asante Kotoko, but that fell through.

Footy-ghana.com understands that Ahmed is very enthusiastic about moving to the Golden City Park and our sources reveal that the club’s bankroller, Emmanuel Kyeremeh is close to taking a decision on the 2006 World Cup squad member.

Issa Ahmed captained Asante Kotoko to win the 2005 Premier League title and he was also voted the Footballer of the Year that season by the Premier League Board
