Muntari rejects Sunderland move

Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari has rejected the chance to move to Sunderland, according to English reports.

The Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has put a bid to put together amid an escalating injury crisis that as forced him to turn to the Ghana international

The 26-year-old midfielder has struggled to carve out a regular place at the Giuseppe Meazza and could join international teammates John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan at the Stadium of Light.

However, Sunderland's bid to take him on loan looks to have failed with the former Portsmouth ace deciding against a move to the Stadium of Light, and insists he would prefer a move to London.

“If I have to leave Inter Milan, I'll go to London,” he told the Italian media. “That is the only possibility.”
