I don't know about 13 but I have heard of the 12 players in a game...
That was when the management was divided and both sides stressed they needed to select six players a piece. Of course the other wouldn't agree to select 5 so both factions sent their six soldiers onto the field to do battle... the rest as they say is his--tory
