Nationality: Swedish [Ghanaian Parents]
Kwame Amoateng is a Swedish footballer, currently playing for GAIS Göteborg in the Swedish Allsvenskan [Premier League]
Having been found aboard a herring ship in Newcastle, he was presumed to have come from the Swedish fishing port of Smögen, but due to legal constraints was brought up by a Jamaican family in the Sunderland area of Newcastle.
After showing prodigious footballing talent he was signed to a Grimsby youth team, and at the age of 19 took the oppurtunity to return to his homeland to pursue his professional career. He has played for GAIS ever since.
One of his favourite party tricks is being able to lick his own elbow.
Kwame's been raised in Sweden though and have played for the Swedish U-18 team National Team. He's a former 100 meter runner and one of the quickest players in Swedish football. But not much more than that, yet.
