Ghanaian player arrested for alleged murder of two police officers
A Ghanaian footballer, Ganiu Iddrisu, has been remanded into police custody for allegedly shooting and killing two police officers at East Trasacco on May 2, 2024.
Ganiu Iddrisu was arrested alongside four other suspects, which include a gardener, a public servant, and an Arabic translator.
Presenting the facts of the case to the Court on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Chief Inspector Margaret Ofori Boadi of the Legal and Prosecution Unit at CID Headquarters, told the court that the accused persons, along with others at large, conspired to shoot and kill the two police officers.
