Stars-Cranes: Boost For Cranes

UGANDA Cranes players on Friday received over sh10m in bonuses for their victorious encounter against Cape Verde.
Cranes were 1-0 winners over Cape Verde at Namboole stadium last June in an African Cup of Nations/World Cup qualifier.
The money ? sh0.5m for each player ? was handed over by state sports minister Charles Bakkabulindi at the newly refurbished Lugogo Hostel, where Cranes are camping ahead of their away encounter against Ghana next Saturday.
Bakkabulindi advised the players to give their best against Ghana.
?You are already players and senior players. I do not think that excuses of not having enough training can count at this juncture,? said Bakkabulindi.
He promised a bigger bonus in case they come up with a good result against Ghana next weekend.
The Cranes contingent departs for Ghana on Wednesday.
