Akumpreko and Noble Kings FC to merger

Twifo Praso (C/R) June 13, GNA - Two Division Two Clubs in Twifo-Praso, Akumpreko and Noble Kings Football Clubs on Sunday agreed to merge and adopt a new and common name, Twifo United. The decision was arrived at between the two Clubs at an emergency meeting at Twifo- Praso.

Mr Ato Ahmoah, the interim Chairman of Twifo United in an address to the executives and playing bodies of the Clubs after the meeting urged all to unite to enable the merger raise a formidable team to represent the District in competitive assignments. He commended the executives of the two defunct Clubs for burying their differences and coming together to form one entity.

Mr Ahmoah said the merger would also enable the Club to seek assistance from the Twifo-Heman-Lower-Denkyira District Assembly to promote soccer and unearth more talents amongst the youth in the District. He said it was the aim of the management of Twifo United to ensure that it qualified for the First Division in the 2005 League season and appealed to the playing body to take their training seriously and offer the needed respect to enable them achieved success.
