Kotoko to miss Boakye on Sunday

Accra, July 31, GNA ---Isaac Boakye, Kumasi Asante Kotoko top scorer would miss his sides 11th week league match against Power FC on Sunday at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports revealed that the player has received three yellow cards hence his disqualification from the Sunday's encounter.

The player was booked in the second, fifth and tenth weeks for unsporting behaviour.

Boakye has so far scored five goals in the ten-match old Kinapharma Premiere League making him the leading scorer in the league with team-mate Micheal Osei.

Other players on the caution sheet and would miss the 11th week matches are Kobina Dodzi of Accra Great Olympics who was booked in the sixth, eighth and the tenth week while Owusu Sarpong of Bofoakwa was also booked in the third, ninth and tenth weeks.

Samuel Quansah and Kwabena Boateng of B.A. United and Okwawu United respectively would also be out for the 11th week matches for expulsions in the eighth week matches as a result of violent conducts.

Awudu A. Samid of Mine Stars who was red carded in their tenth week league match for abusive language on the referee and David Boateng of Liberty Professionals who was sent off in their tenth week league match for a second cautionable offence in the tenth week would miss their sides 11th week matches.

B.A. United, Okwawu United, Mine Stars and Liberty Professionals would pay a fine of 200,000 cedis for the offences of their players.
