Wakaso completes loan move to Celtic

Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso have signed a one-year loan deal with Celtic with the option to make it permanent.

Wakaso is joining from Russian side Rubin Kazan and is expected at the Celtic Park Thursday.

The winger’s move had been stalled for over a week due to visa and work permit issues, but is now eligible for their weekend game against Dundee at the Dens Park.

The 24-year-old had stints with Espanyol, Villareal and Elche all in Spain after leaving Ghana’s Ashanti Gold.

Wakaso, who becomes Celtic’s fourth signing this season, has been capped 19 times for Ghana and was part of the 2014 World Cup squad in Brazil
