Sammy Adjei set for Hearts of Oak return

After falling out of favour with former coach David Duncan, the ex-national keeper is on the verge of rejoining the former Premier League champions

Former Ghana goalkeeper Sammy Adjei is close to returning to Hearts of Oak for the upcoming season, Goal Ghana can exclusively confirm.

Sources close to the Rainbow Club have confirmed that Phobian officials have been in talks with the shot-stopper since last term and could make a return in the 2013-14 season.

Sources say both parties are fine tuning a deal that has been agreed in principle.

Adjei played an integral part in Hearts of Oak’s success in the year 2000 helping the club to win the Africa Champions League, the Premier League, Caf Super Cup and the FA Cup.
