Nigerian referees to officiate Medeama - Zesco clash

Nigerian match officials have been appointed by CAF to handle the Confederations Cup last 16 second-leg tie between Ghanaian Premier League side Medeama SC and Zesco United of Zambia.

Joshua Opeyemi, 33, will steer affairs from the middle while his countrymen, duo, Peter Elgam and Robert Aundugh assist him from the flanks.

A reserve referee, also a Nigerian – Ferdinand Udoh, has been appointed to travel with the trio as part of CAF’s policy to ensure no obstruction to proceedings should anything incapacitates the center referee.

Medeama go into the second-leg tie at the Levi Mwanawasa Stadium with a 2-0 lead after winning the first-leg in Ghana last weekend.
