Ghana midfielder Solomon Asante has lost his mother after a short illness at her residence at Sefwi Wiaso in the Western region.
Madam Monica Dankwaa passed away last Thursday, according to family sources.
The diminutive midfielder, who is also part of the Black Stars, has been given a leave of absence to join his family in Ghana to mourn with them.
The former Berekum Chelsea player was part of the TP Mazembe squad that lost to CS Sfaxien on a 2-3 aggregate in the Caf Confederation Cup final last weekend.
