Mensah claims Juve interest

Southn Africa Free State Stars defender Jonathan Mensah has claimed that he has been approached by representatives from Juventus.

The Ghana defender enjoyed a memorable season in South Africa and played an influential role in helping Ea Lla Koto to finishing fourth in the Premiership.

Although still just 18, Mensah told Football365.co.za that he has ambitions of moving abroad. The Ghana Under-20 international also revealed there has been interest from rival PSL clubs.

"I am already seeing the signs of it as there is interest from several clubs not only in South Africa but also from foreign countries in me," Mensah said.

"Teams are keen on signing and I hope I will not play in the South African league by the start of next season."

"I can say that I have had offers from agents claiming to represent the Italian side Juventus, two clubs in Greece - I don't know their names and all the big clubs in South Africa have also made enquiries about me and they all need my services."
