Essien boost Ghana's squad

Ghana’s technical team have a full complement of the squad for Sunday’s 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers after Chelsea midfielder, Michael Essien joined the Black Stars camp today.

Michael Essien would train with the Black Stars for the first time today as the Black prepare for Sunday’s opening game against Libya at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The Chelsea midfielder arrived at the team’s base in Kumasi before midday on Friday and well in time for the session at the match venue after touching down on Thursday.

Ghana plays Libya in the first game of the 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier as the Black Stars seek to reach the finals of tournament to be hosted by South Africa, the first by an African nation since the inception on the tournament.
