Liberty trio will join Udinese in January

Liberty Professionals say their three players who signed for Udinese last month will travel to join the Italian club in January.

Udinese completed the signing of the three Ghanaian midfielders Abdul Aziz Tetteh, Rahiu Alhassan and Kwadwo Asamoah last month.

But the trio have been playing for Liberty since they signed a four-year deal each with the Serie A club.

Liberty boss Alhaji Sly Tetteh says the three players will begin their European careers in January when the transfer window opens.

"After difficult negotiations we agreed finally signed to release the three players to Udinese," Sly Tetteh, president of Liberty Professional told Ghanasoccernet.com .

"We released the players because we are sure that they will continue to develop as Udinese have done to some of our players in the past.

"They will leave in January to begin their European career and I am confident they will succeed."

Liberty Professionals have a good working relationship with Udinese as the Italian side have signed two players from the Ghanaian side in the past decade.

Sulley Muntari, who joined English side Portsmouth from Udinese at the start of this season, was signed from the Accra club in 1999.

Striker Asamoah Gyan also joined Udinese from Liberty Professionals three seasons ago.
