Appiah for Arsenal?

According to the UK newspaper, THE PEOPLE, Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has been added to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's summer shopping list.

The 25-year-old was originally meant to move to North London as part of the Patrick Vieira transfer to Juventus last summer.

But the Accra-born midfielder joined Turkish giants Fenerbahce for ?5.5m.

Meanwhile, it's reported that Asamoah Gyan also wants to come to the Premiership.

The promising young striker scored against the Czechs and will feature against Brazil on Tuesday.

His Sweden-based agent Patrik Mork - who guided Michael Essien to the big time - is talking to three top English sides and rates ?4m Gyan as exciting a prospect. He said "Gyan is perfect for England. There is a lot of interest in him."
