Appiah unhappy with Duya's List

Stephen Appiah

Ghana captain Stephen Appiah is unhappy with the 23-man squad for the World Cup finals named by Coach Ratomir Dujkovic on Friday.

Speaking to a local radio station, HappyFM, the Fenerbahce midfielder said the current team lacks the experience which is necessary to succeed at these types of tournaments.

The soft spoken captain, who usually shies away from interviews, added that he would have preferred to see players like striker Baba Amando, defender Kofi Amponsah and midfielder Yakubu Abubakari on the team.

Appiah, who claimed he'd not eaten since the list came out, based his reasoning on the fiasco that befell the national team at the African nation?s cup in Egypt.

According to him, he was not consulted on the composition of the team.

Ghana has until Monday May 15th 11am GMT to make changes to list.
