Crystal Palace fear Jeffrey Schlupp will miss a minimum of two months with a hip injury.

The versatile Palace star felt the problem against Watford last week and is now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Schlupp has been in a rich vein of form for the Eagles in recent weeks but is not expected back until late February at the earliest.

The 26-year-old underwent a series of tests earlier this week to determine the extent of the injury and the scans have showed up hip tendon damage.

It is understood the former Leicester man could even miss three months, though the timescale is dependent on his recover process.

The news comes a key blow to Roy Hodgson as he prepares his team for the hectic festive period.
