Grant denies nepotism in selecting players to Black Stars

Ghana coach Avram Grant says he does not discriminate in selecting players to the Black Stars.

The Israeli trainer has been criticized for having a soft spots for some players of the Black Stars hence handing them regular call-ups.

Grant has been lambasted for handing invite to South African-based Edwin Gyimah who is yet to break into the team.

The former Chelsea boss during an interview with the press denied discriminating in his choice of players.

Grant however insist he invites players based on merit.

“I have not signed any contract with any player to give him playing time, only players who show good performance would be in the Black Stars team,” he said.

The team will hold their final training session this morning at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of tomorrow’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.
