Relegated English Premiership side Fulham have given a new contract to English-born Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku.

The towering central defender’s current deal will expire next summer but he has been offered a new contract which will see him stay at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2022.

The 20-year-old libero has been a revelation for the Fulham Under 23 team in the Premier League 2 this season playing fourteen games, scoring twice and providing one assist.

He has been earmarked by Scott Parker as one of the players who will be promoted to the senior team.
