Kumasi Asante Kotoko attacker Abdul Fatawu Safiu has revealed that he feels down for not making the Black Stars final squad for AFCON 2019 but he will continue to work hard.

Fatawu was part of the provisional 30-man squad who went to Dubai for training camp but was dropped last week as the Kwesi Appiah settled on his final 23.

The Kotoko forward pointed out that he feels disheartened with the snub but is the coach choice and it must be respected by all.

“I am disappointed of course as a player for not making the Black Stars 23-man squad for the AFCON but it is the coach decision and we must respect it. I think I have to continue working extra hard, I will get a call-up again.” Fatawu told the Press on Sunday.

The nimble-footed attacker was on the score sheet as Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat Accra Hearts of Oak to book a place in the NC Special Committee finals.
