Asante Kotoko to appoint a new manager by October 1 - Club CEO

Manager-less Asante Kotoko SC are set to appoint a substantive head coach for the Kumasi bases side latest October 1, 2018.

The Baba Yara based side have been without a head coach since the surprise departure of Paa Kwesi Faabin earlier last week.

The record Ghana premier league champions are however set to confirm a new manager by October 1, 2018 with over 27 bids already received by the club.

Chief Executive Officer of the Club, Mr. George Amoako confirmed that his outfit was ready to appoint a substantive manager in the first week of October.

Speaking on Accra based Happy FM, Mr. George Amoako confirmed the readiness to appoint a head coach for the club with no special interest in the color of the coach.

“We are looking at finding a new replacement for coach Faabin before October 1, 2018.

“I don’t prefer foreign coaches to local coaches. I just need a coach who can handle Kotoko and give us the best results”,Mr. George Amoako said on Happy 98.9 FM.

Asante Kotoko SC have since traded some alarming 16 trainers since 2003 with many pundits urging for continuity rather than traffic managers.
